12/26 Kentucky Football Update

This will be Kentucky’s 4th straight bowl game, and their 3rd straight Music City Bowl.

Junior tailback Derrick Locke submitted his name to have his NFL draft status evaluated.

Freshman Morgan Newton will make his 8th consecutive start at quarterback for the Wildcats in the bowl game.

Newton has come a long way since his first start at Auburn in October.

Practices for the Music City Bowl give the coaches a chance to evaluate younger players.

Junior quarterback Mike Hartline’s knee appears to be recovering well. Hartline may play in the Music City Bowl game in relief of Morgan Newton.

The Wildcats have been in Nashville since Tuesday, preparing for their game Sunday against Clemson, and both teams got tickets to the Tennessee Titans game on Christmas Day.

Here is a look at things to do in Nashville.
