Georgia fires 3 defensive coaches
According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Georgia has fired 3 defensive coaches including defensive coordinator Willie Martinez. Martinez, defensive ends coach Jon Fabris and linebackers coach John Jancek were informed by coach Mark Richt that they will not be retained.Coach Richt has asked all three to coach through Georgia’s bowl game. Coach Richt released this statement : “I cannot express enough my thanks to all three for their contributions to our program. However, in the final analysis, I’m charged with providing the leadership and direction for the Georgia program and sometimes that means making difficult decisions. This was one of them.”
