2/1/10 Update:
– Auburn added 4 star defensive tackle Jeffrey Whitaker who chose the Tigers over Miami and Georgia.
– Alabama landed 4 star Junior College Defensive Back Dequan Menzie. Menzie had also taken official visits to Ole Miss and Tennessee, and also had scholarship offers from Auburn, Clemson, Georgia, Mississippi State, North Carolina and Oklahoma State.
– Tennessee added 3 more commitments this weekend: 4 star Junior College Defensive Back Dave Clark, DB Dontavis Sapp and Hoover (Ala.) LB John Probst.
– Vanderbilt landed 4 star Running Back Rajaan Bennett who picked the Commodores over Kentucky, Tennessee, Wisconsin, and Louisville.
1/28/10 Update:
– Running Back Lache Seastrunk picked Oregon over LSU, Auburn, California, UCLA and USC.
– Quarterback Nash Nance committed to Tennessee and many think his teammate, 5 star wide receiver Da’Rick Rogers, will follow him.
– Defensive Lineman Brandon Ivory (Memphis, TN) will sign with Alabama according to his East High School coach Marcus Wimblerly.
– 4 star defensive end Carlos Thompson committed to Ole Miss over Mississippi State last night.
1/27/10 Update:
– Offensive Tackle Shon Coleman is wavering on his commitment to Auburn. Alabama coach Nick Saban is expected to visit with Coleman in his Olive Branch, Miss. home today and then travel to Tuscaloosa for a mid-week visit, staying until Friday.
– 4-star Defensive Tackle Cassius Marsh has changed his mind. After being committed to LSU since October 2009, Marsh announced he is officially a UCLA Bruin saying on his facebook page, “I’m officially a UCLA Bruin! I couldn’t be happier.”
1/25/10 Update:
–Several of the SN100 uncommitteds are set to decide this week, including:
- Carlos Thompson will pick Ole Miss or Mississippi State on 1/25
- Lache Seastrunk to choose Auburn, LSU, USC, Oregon or Cal on 1/27
– Athlete Tyler Murphy(Wethersfield, Conn) committed to Florida this weekend. Murphy had previously committed to Temple and received scholarship offers from Syracuse and Fordham
– 4-Star Wide Receiver Belle Chasse has committed to LSU. Chasse also had Texas Tech, Alabama, Tennessee and Florida in his top five.

– OL Eric Mack committed to Auburn this morning after decommitting from South Carolina yesterday.
1/19/10 Update:
– According to ESPN On the Trail , Under Armour All American Justin Hunter decommitted from LSU but is still considering them along with Tennessee and new coach Derek Dooley:
High four-star wide receiver Justin Hunter (Virginia Beach, Va./Ocean Lakes) has decommitted from the Tigers but is still considering LSU along with Tennessee, ESPN affiliate Web site BayouBengalsInsider.com reports.
Hunter stated via text message that he has not eliminated LSU but wants to consider Tennessee since the hiring of new head coach Derek Dooley.
The ESPNU 150 prospect has made official visits to both schools and will not take any additional official visits. -ESPN On The Trail
1/18/10 Update:
– Athlete Blake Sims recommitted to Alabama after his visit to Tuscaloosa this weekend
“Basically when I talked to coach Saban and told him I wanted to de-commit, I couldn’t sleep that night. It ate me up the whole next day, and me and my family were just sitting there at breakfast wondering what we had done,” Sims told BamaOnLine.com.
– Auburn has a great recruiting weekend, here are Evan Woodbery’s notes:
* Offensive lineman Shon Coleman of Olive Branch, Miss., said he was “100 percent” committed to Auburn but might still take other visits just for fun. Are we upgrading him from a soft commitment? Sure, why not. At least until next weekend.* Lincoln High athlete D.J. Howard was an early Auburn commitment, but was being wooed by Clemson, who promised him a better chance at sticking at running back. Howard now says there’s “no doubt” he’ll be playing running back at Auburn.* Auburn hosted two uncommitted defensive tackles. Both Jeffrey Whitaker of Warner Robins, Ga., and Byran Jones of Junction City, Ark., said they had a good time, but did not commit. – Evan Woodbery, al.com
– Top recruit Marcus Lattimore has narrowed it down to 2 choices: Auburn and South Carolina. Lattimore will make his decision February 1.
–Defensive end Dexter Morant canceled his visit Clemson and plans to stay with his commitment to Georgia.
– Auburn continues to make a strong push for offensive lineman Eric Mack, who made an official visit in September and plans to take an unofficial visit to Auburn with junior teammate Shamier Jeffery,athlete, who is attending junior day.
– Linebacker Ferlando Bohanna of Memphis firmed up his committed to Mississippi State on an official visit and will not take his official visit to Clemson later this month.
–Safety Chris Hughes committed to Mississippi State after his visit this weekend saying, “It seemed like it would be a place where it would be hard to find trouble because it’s in the middle of nowhere”
– Running Back Nick Griffin of New Augusta, Miss. committed to Mississippi State, bringing their commitment total to 20 for 2010.
– Former Tennessee commitment 4-star LB Michael Taylor of Atlanta, GA has officially committed to Florida.
– Defensive Back Marcques Dixon says he’s still committed to Tennessee after his visit this weekend. He will visit Miami on January 29.
