Georgia Quarterback Arrested for Underage Drinking

Georgia quarterback Zack Mettenberg was arrested over the weekend in Remerton, Ga. on 5 misdemeanor charges according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

Remerton Police Chief Mike Terrell said 18 year old Mettenberg was charged with underage consumption/possession of alcohol, disorderly conduct, obstruction and two counts of having fake identification.

Georgia fires 3 defensive coaches

According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Georgia has fired 3 defensive coaches including defensive coordinator Willie Martinez. Martinez, defensive ends coach Jon Fabris and linebackers coach John Jancek were informed by coach Mark Richt that they will not be retained.Coach Richt has asked all three to coach through Georgia’s bowl game.

Uga VII passed away this week due to heart problems. There will be no Uga in Sanford Stadium today, instead just a wreath on his dog house to remember him.

This is the final home game for the Georgia seniors.

The Bulldogs played their best football to date in their 31-24 win over Auburn.
